8-Bit Pixel Skateboarder
I grew up skateboarading all the time. Watching movies like Gleaming the Cube and playing video games like Skate or Die on my Nintendo regularly. When Tony Hawks Pro Skater came out I was still too young, but I wished I was able to work on creating that game. A seed was planted and I was inspired. Years later the game Skate came out too which was amazing as well and around that time I stepped into working on my game art career. I missed out on the video game skateboarding era, so here’s my homage to the 8 bit culture I grew up in, and inspired me as an artist.

Loot Crate
From VR to AR! I’ve been quietly working on some fun projects with the fine folks over at Lootcrate for the last few months now. We have been developing a new augmented reality (AR) experience called Loot Lens alongside their monthly subscription boxes. An app that lets you step through portals taking you to a 360 view of different worlds, to bringing 3D animated models to life in your living room, and more. I couldn’t be more psyched to have this opportunity to continue to be creative in another future form of art and entertainment. Hello AR. My third eye is open. Let’s bend the rules of reality and have some fun!
Two Bit Circus Car 3D Print
Since I have my Form 2 3D printer I’ve been having a lot of fun with it. Just printing out old models of mine and getting a better grasp of the process of printing. Real interesting there is a whole another level to learn to get things printed correctly and having the prior knowledge of 3D modeling helps a lot. A big portion of it starts with how you finalize your 3D model getting it prepped for printing. It can save you a lot of time on printing, and cost for material.
I’ve been wanting to print out one of my low poly cars from my work on Demolition Zone at Two Bit Circus. So I set up the model, took time to prep it right, and printed and painted it trying to match the colors of it in the game. I learned a lot, a few hiccups, fun getting messy, and overall had fun doing it which is important. Came out pretty rad I’d say!!
Fatty Figure!
Fatty figure is done! Everything has been printed, sanded, primed, and colored.
I am doing a run of 20 of these figures for $60 to be released late spring/early summer this year.
So excited to finally have this done. It was a fun learning process doing this from drawings on paper, to 3D modeling, to printing out, and having up for sale.
Two Bit Circus Grand Opening!
THE TIME HAS COME!
After a long journey our team has finally opened up Two Bit Circus to the public.
It was a lot of fun for our grand opening. Mayor Garcetti was there with a nice speech, and even Bill Nye the Science Guy came by I’ve loved him and his fun and educational attitude since I was a kid. The mix of weaving science, technology, art, and making it fun inspired me in wanting to be a creative. Joining 2BC has made it even more a reality and having him there to support us and our dream was surreal. So awesome to meet him and chat with basketball player Baron Davis and one of my favorite artist David Choe too. Big day and it went off with a bang,.
Extremely proud of this talented crew and what we have accomplished with bringing VR to the masses.
Above the Clouds
Alongside my work with studios, I also do freelance work with some super talented artist and muralist. I assist in helping them create their designs as 3D models to be printed out and mass produced.
I’ve been doing this for a few years now being fortunate enough to work with some amazing and inspiring artist. I’ve expanded this work now into creating a small production company called Above the Clouds. We now not only do the 3D modeling, but as well as helping in pre production conceptions, 3D printing, mold/cast making, and post production work to help clients get their designs out into the physical world for artist to buy and collect.
I’m very excited for the years to come, and to continue to make killer products for our clients.
